This is an independent bottling of single malt from the brill Blair Athol Distillery, released by The Whisky Cellar. It was distilled in 2014, and before being bottled in 2022, it was finished in a Moscatel wine barrique, imparting a wealth of rich red fruit notes. 338 bottles were produced.
Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt
Nose
Cinnamon and nutmeg spiciness, with a layer of raspberry and damson.
Palate
Robustly malty notes abound, with strawberry, milk chocolate, and a hint of new leather.
Finish
Oaky on the finish, with red liquorice sweetness in contrast.
