Joining the Infrequent Flyers collection from indie bottler Alistair Walker comes this splendid 15 year old single malt from Blair Athol. Distilled in August 2006, the whisky was matured in a single cask, including a finishing period in a cask that previously held Moscatel sweet wine, imparting beautifully rich fruity notes to this classic Highlander. A release of 281 bottles.

Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt

Nose: Honeyed stone fruits with wafts of peach and apricot, a touch of fig, with underlying floral, grassy notes.

Palate: Sweet shortbread, orange zest, juicy sultanas, and biscuity malt with wafts of vanilla, dark chocolate, and distant drying herbs.

Finish: Sugared nuts, sweet, toasty oak with a touch of nutmeg, and warming spice.
