A gloriously fruity Blair Athol here, independently bottled by Alistair Walker. Distilled in August 2006, the Highlander was finished in a single Sauternes hogshead before it was bottled for the Infrequent Flyers series, with a release of 281 bottles at 50.6% ABV.
Toffee apple and dried apricot alongside prune sweetness.
Intensely honeyed, with syrup sweetness overlaying crisp orchard fruit and bittersweet citrus, supported by plump sultana.
Cinnamon sugar lingers.
