A cracking cask strength indie bottling of Blair Athol single malt, brought to us by the folks at Auld Goonsy's Malt. Distilled in June 2009, this expression spent a dozen years hanging out in a single bourbon hogshead, which was opened up in November 2021 to release a total outturn of 209 bottles.

Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt

Nose: Honeyed fruit and buttery shortbread, creamy vanilla fudge.

Palate: Butterscotch, a hint of toffee popcorn and flaked almonds, sweet toasted oak with rich vanilla.

Finish: More sugared nuts, peppery spice picks up with a touch of burnt sugar to balance.
