12 year old single malt from the Blair Athol Distillery up in the Highlands, distilled back in 2008 and matured in a single cask. After a dozen years of rest, the cask was cracked open and the whisky was bottled up at cask strength in 2021 by Adelphi. Just 301 bottles were produced.
Tangy orange and dark chocolate, with clove and a hint of dried grass.
Subtly flinty, but with more than enough sultana, cranberry, and mocha notes to balance it.
Lingering Christmas spices and another touch of chocolatey sweetness.
