Blair Athol 11yo Vino Bottling Note

An independent Brig O' Perth bottling of Blair Athol single malt, matured for 11 years, including a finish in an antique Vino de Color cask. At around 150 years old, the cask is believed to be one of only a few remaining that still contained the rich, sticky, sherry-based wine, and it's certainly done its work imparting both impressive colour and character to the whisky within.

Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt

Nose: Ginger cake and burnt biscuits, chocolate raisins, roasted coffee beans, a hint of anise and plum.

Palate: Heaps of dark fruits with cherries and plums, honey, and treacle toffee. More dense, stewed orchard fruits, rich oak, and cacao follow.

Finish: Sticky dried sherried fruits remain, joined by chocolate almonds and coffee grounds.
