There's two extremes on the label of That Boutique-y Whisky Company's first independent bottling of Bladnoch single malt (a 26 year old expression!). Firstly, there's an extremely close-up view of yeast cells, looking somewhat like dinosaur eggs. Secondly, there's an extremely far-out view of the Andromeda galaxy, looking nothing like a dinosaur egg. So if one looks like dinosaur eggs and one doesn't, what's could the connection be?!
Batch 1 is a release of 165 bottles.
‘That Boutique-y Whisky Company’ bottles single malts, single grains and bourbons from a variety of renowned distilleries as well as producing award-winning blended malts and blends. These whiskies are adorned with cultish graphic novel-style labels.
Grassy malt and exotic spices (think cumin and star anise). Brown sugar, grapefruit and perhaps a touch of hard cheese...
Floury pastries and chocolate cake give it a 'shopping spree in a bakery' vibe. Slightly floral at points.
Pink peppercorn and sherbet lemons last.
