A stunning 28 year old Bladnoch, distilled in the Lowlands back in 1990. It was put straight into a single refill American hogshead where it remained for the following 28 years. After many years, in January 2019 Gordon and MacPhail independently bottled the single malt for the Connoisseurs Choice series, with an outturn of 199 bottles at cask strength, 52.3% ABV.
Floral aromas combine with kiwi, pear and waxy lemon.
Delicate and refined; grassy notes join flavours of chocolate, lime and ripe banana.
Drying cocoa powder develops into a fruity finish.
