Bladnoch 17 Year Old - California Red Wine Cask Finish
A fabulous single malt from Bladnoch Distillery, this 17 year old was originally filled into ex Bourbon barrels, before being re-filled into Californian red wine casks in March 2016 and January 2017. A blend of two vattings, this rich and fruity expression was bottled at 46.7% without any chill-filtration.
This bottle was part of a private collection and may show signs of wear if of a certain vintage - if you'd like more detailed photos just get in touch!
Tasting Note by The Producer
Nose
Rich and composed, dried fruit, coffee, cherries, toffee, vanilla and sweet oak.
Palate
Lively but smooth. Spicy oak, prunes, orange marmalade, cherries, with hints of liquorice and cinnamon.
Finish
Quite complex, malty, dried fruits, shortbread and spicy lightly peppery oak.
