Apple Syllabub 1990 (bottled 2016) - Wemyss Malts (Bladnoch)
This is a single cask bottling of single malt from the Bladnoch distillery, drawn from a hogshead which matured the whisky from 1990 to 2016. It was independently bottled by the wonderful Wemyss folks, and bestowed the title 'Apple Syllabub' to give us an idea of its flavour profile. A release of 196 bottles.
Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt
Nose
Lemongrass, flaky pastry, peaches and runny honey.
Palate
Baked goods, green peppercorn, a touch of oily smoke, white grapes.
Finish
Burnt sugar and peppermint.
