A spooned blended malt (meaning it's almost entirely from one distillery, but with a very tiny helping of single malt from another distillery), released under the Westport name and independently bottled by Berry Bros. & Rudd for La Maison du Whisky in 2014. Rather handsome retro-styled label on this one...
Nutty malt, caramelised pecan, chocolate sauce and a whiff of fresh hibiscus.
A burst of juicy fruit notes arrive on the palate - think pink grapefruit, mango and red apple. Still enjoyably malty.
Subtle salinity on the finish.
