A single malt from Orkney, bottled up by Berry Bros. & Rudd for its Small Batch series. "But which distillery on Orkney made it?!" we hear you ask. Well, Berry Bros. & Rudd aren't telling, but with only two whisky distilleries on Orkney, we reckon you have a good chance of figuring it out. Anyway, this expression was distilled in 2009 and allowed to age for 11 years in refill hogshead casks, before being bottled up at 46% ABV.
Buttery shortbread, heather honey and a touch of rock pool salinity.
Pear, peach, plum and peat! A whisper of black pepper in the background.
Softly floral on the finish, though still packing fresh pear sweetness.
