The team at the legendary independent bottler Berry Brother's and Rudd specially selected a blend of sherry cask single malts to create this classic example of a well-sherried Scotch whisky.
It is one of the four offerings released as part of The Classic Range which was launched in the spring of 2018. It's great value for money and should be a treat for those who love a big sherry bomb.
Blood orange juice, brown sugar and dried fruit lead with a hint of charred pineapple and perhaps some rancio.
Black fruit compote, herbal tea and a little bitter dark chocolate. Seville orange marmalade and fiery cinnamon add depth.
Christmas cake notes remain.

Amazing
For 30 quid there's not much not to like here. Tasty, great daily drinker or base for cocktails or to blend with other whiskies. Not sure I can think of a cheaper and better option like the reviewer giving 1.5 stars. Share the knowledge ey
I bought this for a taste of Christmas and it was spot on. Easier going than the Glenmorangie Lesanta, it wears it's sherry quite lightly yet is still a rich, dried fruit and marmalade treat. Tasted it against a Glenfarclas 18 and I found this richer and ultimately more rewarding. I got none of the metallic taste mentioned in another review.
I was looking forward to this, but I have to say a little disappointed. The initial taste is what you’d expect from a Sherry Cask finished whisky and quite nice. But it’s the finish that spoils it. You get an explosion of alcohol, with a metallic aftertaste. The colour and Initial taste was so great, Just to be let down in the end. It’s not a lot of money, but I think there are smoother choices out there for this price point.
After reading the tasting notes, I was looking forward to this Whisky, and it did not disappoint. The Whisky is only lightly Sherried, which was a nice surprise, and you can just taste the Sherry. Some Whisky’s in my opinion taste too much of Sherry and you can loss the Whisky. I will buy again, and is already on my list to do. Kev Doncaster
