Vindöga Sherry Cask Matured (Berry Bros. & Rudd)
Very intriguing stuff from Berry Bros. & Rudd, it's a blended malt from a range of Nordic distilleries! Vindöga contains whisky from Denmark's Fary Lochan and Mosgaard distilleries, as well as Finland's Teerenpeli, Sweden's Smögen and High Coast, and Norway's Myken. A Nordic medley, if you will. Drawn from a sherry cask, it was bottled for The Nordic Casks #2 series with 146 bottles released.
Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt
Nose
Toasted (and burnt) fruitcake, bonfire smoke, baking spice, apricot jam, and just a hint of smoked meats.
Palate
Rich chocolate praline, gingersnap biscuits, stewed cherry, new oak, and toasted peppercorns.
Finish
Chewy liquorice and Black Forest gateau.
