Wine Cask

This Lowland single malt was triple distilled in 2010 and finished in a Pomerol wine cask (cask 700968), before being bottled 15 years later at a cask strength of 55.7% ABV. There were only 174 bottles released by Berry Bros. & Rudd.
Black cherry compote, creamy vanilla and a dusting of cocoa powder. Gentle tannins, with hints of violet, polished leather and almond pastry.
Cassis and ripe plum alongside malt biscuits and milk chocolate. Herbal hints of thyme and bay leaf arise, with pepper and cinnamon bringing warmth.
Rich dark fruits fading into oaky spice, lingering berry sweetness and a final echo of milk chocolate.
