Benromach 46 Year Old 1972 Heritage
A limited edition bottling of 1972 Benromach, with only a meagre 75 bottles released worldwide. Crafted at the distillery in Forres, the Speysider rested in a single refill American hogshead before it was bottled in December 2018. Released as a part of the distillery’s Heritage collection, the single malt is presented in a simple and elegant decanter alongside a book about the history of Benromach.
Tasting Note by The Producer
Nose
Enjoy the tantalising notes of vanilla custard, honey and baked pineapple, mingling with intriguing hints of beeswax polish, mature oak and an edge of fresh menthol
Palate
Savour the smooth sweetness beautifully balanced by a gentle dash of warm pepper. A medley of ripe tropical fruits, mango and passion fruit develops.
Finish
Candied citrus peel and dried tobacco lead to subtle undertones of aniseed.
