This is the 2007 vintage Benromach single malt Scotch whisky which has been initially matured in bourbon barrels for 6 years, before being transferred over to casks which previously held wine from the Hermitage Appellation d’Origine Contrôlée for 31 months.
Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt
Nose
Plum and dark chocolate up first, followed by a hint of mint.
Palate
Herb-topped crusty bread rolls underneath more chocolate and fresh fruit notes.
Finish
A slow rumble of smoke with a touch of orange peel tucked away.
