Superb substitute for a birthday for which numbers no longer matter...who needs cake?
So far, this has been the best "bang for the buck" whisky for me. If the label didn't state "10 years" i would've set it higher due to how long it lasts and its complexety. Perfect amount of smoke hits you at first, followed by sweet and malty notes that develops into a pleasant aftertaste. Leaves you wanting more. The magic of independent distilleries :)
Recommended by my local wine merchant (from whom I buy many cigars) as a good accompaniment for a good cigar. Is it? Yes. I like a smooth whisky that has no effect on the back of the throat. This is it - my new favorite whisky. May even be worth the long drive to the distillery to shake the hands of the 3 distilers. Only rated 9/10 as there might just be a better 10 YO out there. rite whiskey
For it's age the Ben 10 packs loads of nose, flavour, and lingering taste, so I agree with the MoM chaps. It's young and a tad fiery but, for the money, its one of the very best currently. You won't be wasting your money on this dram.
Good Day, I have been a whiskey drinker for many years, not an expert by any means, but I know what I like. I have tried many Malts and have found some poor, some adequate, others good as is bound to happen. However, this is the first time I have tried "Benromach" and it gives me pleasure to tell you that this is, without doubt the best I have tasted in my 40 years experienced. It is so smooth with a mellow taste and a afterglow that warms from the depths to every pore as it rises over the upper reaches of the body. I tried, as I have with other whiskeys, to down in one a double measure (uncouth) "Benromach" is the only one I ahve found that does not hurt. It flows and glows withe every drop. An indescribably pleasure to savoir.
