Fresh Danish Pastries 2001 (bottled 2018) - Wemyss Malts (Benrinnes)

Fresh Danish Pastries Bottling Note

Single malt Scotch whisky from the Benrinnes distillery, independently bottled by Wemyss Malts. It was distilled in 2001 and aged in a hogshead cask until 2018, when it was bottled at 46% ABV and bestowed the name 'Fresh Danish Pastries' as a hint to its flavour profile. No word on whether it's supposed to taste like a danish yoinked from Kent Brockman or not.

Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt

Nose: Barley sugar sweeties, buttery biscuits, yellow plum and a touch of ginger.

Palate: Apple flesh, sultanas, lemon curd, brown sugar, cinnamon, a touch of oaky salinity.

Finish: Pain au chocolat and dried peels.
