This single malt from Benrinnes joins the Cask Craft series from indie bottler Murray McDavid. After initially maturing in oak casks, the whisky was treated to a finish in tawny Port barriques, imparting sweet layers of red fruit and chocolate to the orchard fruits, floral malt, and pastry at its core.
Almond croissants, caramelised apples, chocolate Brazil nuts, and buttery fudge.
Creamy layers of chocolate and malt lead to sweet summer fruits and a touch of marmalade.
Baking spices, cherry chocolate, and cinnamon.
