Joining the Rare Cask series from indie bottler GreatDrams, this single malt from Benrinnes spent nine years maturing between 2012 and 2021. After eight years in an oloroso cask, the whisky was treated to a nine-month finish in a Pedro Ximénez cask, yielding a total of 333 bottles.
Warming layers of sherried fruits and winter spice, with rich, meaty malt beneath.
Dark dried fruits and spice lead the way, with waves of vanilla biscuits and toffee in tow.
Creamy butterscotch, vanilla fudge, and soft, sweet fruits linger.
