This Benrinnes single malt was distilled in 2008 and aged for 8 years in two hogshead casks before it was bottled in 2017 without additional colouring or chill-filtration by Càrn Mòr for their Strictly Limited range, with 680 bottles produced.
Through sawdust and dry barley comes white grape, bruised pear and a little white pepper. There's elegant grassy notes later on.
Floral vanilla and toasted almond emerge among the persistent fruit and spice of the nose.
The finish is short, with subtle touches of flinty minerals.
