A very handsome 30 year old Benrinnes, distilled in 1984 and bottled in 2015 by Silver Seal for their Whisky is Nature series. It features a majestic elephant on the label, which is rad. You cannot deny the radness of this elephant.
Waxy peels and resinous oak, with a good kick of robust smoke elbowing its way to the fore.
Green Fruit Pastilles, Alpine herbs, toasted pine.
The remains of the smoke stick around, with a balancing hint of grapefruit.
