A Signatory bottling of a 20 year old single malt from the Benrinnes distillery. Distilled October 1997, this Highlander was allowed to mature in a pair of hogsheads before being bottled in April 2018.
A touch of citrus alongside toasted cereal notes.
Creamy and nutty, spiced oak and a hint of treacle.
Brown sugar, with very gentle notes of fruitcake.
The honeyed nutty sweetness is tempered nicely with a light alcohol/oak palate, not the most complex whisky, but bright and charming. As usual with Signatory the value of the vintage is undeniable.
