Tasty Benrinnes single malt, distilled in 1998 and independently bottled in 2016 by Gordon & MacPhail. Drawn from first fill Sherry hogshead, this lip-smacking dram was bottled for the Connoisseurs Choice range at 46% ABV.
Honey'd malt with hints of sultana and choice mousse. A few touches of cinnamon.
Spicy at first (think ginger and clove), with layers of blackcurrant and thyme honey following on.
Fruity esters with underlying Oloroso sweetness.
