A Connoisseurs Choice bottling of Benrinnes single malt Scotch whisky, bottled by Gordon and MacPhail. It was distilled in 1997, matured in a mix of sherry butts and American oak casks and bottled in 2013.
A nutty nose. Cake icing and sharp kiwis.
Advent calendar chocolate, milky and sweet. Slightly hot, though apple juice notes cool it down quickly.
Apples and pears (the fruits, not stairs).
Lovely stuff. Well balanced.
