A beautiful bottling o' Benrinnes, courtesy of the fine folk at Càrn Mòr. This 17 year old single malt was distilled in 1996 and matured in 2 bourbon barrels until 2014. It was bottled with an outturn of 489 bottles for the Strictly Limited range. And when they're gone, they're gone.
Trying to like whisky and this one pushed all the buttons. Not knowing much about whisky, I would qualify this one as rather outstanding. Beats a lot of the whiskies we tried on the Malt Whisky Trail in Speyside region.
