Benrinnes 11 Year Old 2010 (Thompson Bros.)

11 year old single malt from the Benrinnes Distillery, which has been independently bottled up by the Thompson Bros.! This one was distilled in 2010 and initially aged in a refill hogshead, before enjoying a finishing period in an ex-Islay whisky cask for right months. It was eventually bottled at 54.7% ABV, with an outturn of 295 bottles.

Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt

    Nose

Roasted nuts, perfumed malt with a hint of vanilla blossom, a slow build of dry oak and hickory.

    Palate

Crunchy brown sugar and oily barley, leading into a subtle salinity of peat and cask char.

    Finish

    A touch of fresh orange.
