Benrinnes 10 Year Old Integrity Malts
Distilled at Benrinnes in 2016, this 10-year-old Speyside single malt received an unusual two-year finish in a Catoctin Creek rye cask that had previously held Caol Ila whisky. It was bottled as a single cask release by Integrity Malts at 55.3% ABV, without chill filtration or added colour. Only 153 bottles were released.
Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt
Nose
Toffee, fresh malt, dried cranberry, raisin, clove, rye bread, and subtle smoke.
Palate
Caramelised vanilla, white chocolate, candied orange, cinnamon, dark fruit, pepper, and toasted oak.
Finish
Rye spice, butterscotch, black pepper, dried fig, and lingering malt.
