Description

Benriach The Twenty Five was built from both peated and unpeated spirit and a quartet of cask types. The whisky matured in sherry casks, bourbon barrels, virgin oak and Madeira wine casks before the components were brought together by master blender Rachel Barrie. Bottled at 46% ABV and natural colour.

Nose

Smoked apricot, dark cherry and orange peel, with hazelnut toffee, baked apple and a little cinnamon.

Palate

Rich and layered, with dark chocolate, ripe stone fruit, caramelised nuts and orange. Toasted oak and warming spice build alongside a mellow thread of smoke.

Finish

Caramel, dark fruit, cinnamon and gentle smoke.
