Sherry
Here we have an absolute sherry bomb of a Benriach bottled by James Eadie! After it was distilled in May 2010, it saw nine years of ageing in a single cask, including seven months finishing in a first-fill Pedro Ximénez sherry hogshead. It was bottled in 2019 at cask strength, a hefty 62.1% ABV, with an outturn of 296 bottles.
Oodles and oodles of blackberry jam, with apple crumble, a good helping of brown sugar, gingersnaps and waxy orange.
Loads more berry jam, with vanilla cream, dried apricot and oak char, with white pepper and brioche.
Gingerbread, vanilla oak and a pinch of tobacco.
