A rather unusual cask finished Benriach here! The single malt was distilled in Speyside in May 2010, was of its nine years of maturation, 12 months of it was spent finishing in a single first-fill Palo Cortado sherry hogshead. It was bottled by James Eadie in 2020, with an outturn of 280 cask strength bottles at 62.4% ABV.
Honeyed oak and creamy vanilla, with additional notes of crème brûlée and candied nuts.
Vanilla fudge leads into dry red grape skin, oily walnut and polished oak.
Dusty cocoa is balanced alongside fresh apricot.
