Benriach 8 Year Old 2016 - Strictly Limited (Càrn Mòr)
Càrn Mòr's Strictly Limited range has been bolstered by a 2016 vintage single malt Scotch whisky from Speysiders Benricach. Aged for eight years in a first-fill sherry butt, this whisky was bottled at 47.5% ABV, non-chill filtered and with its natural colour.
Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt
Nose
Rich and inviting, with waves of milk chocolate and sweet, sun-dried raisins. Then hints of marzipan, soft apricot, vanilla, and toasted almond.
Palate
The fruitiness deepens with notes of plum and baked apple, while subtle oak spice weaves in with nutmeg and a hint of clove.
Finish
A whisper of almonds and soft, spiced fruits that slowly fade.
