This indie BenRiach was bottled by the ever-wonderful Adelphi, distilled in 2012. It spent just under a decades in a single first-fill sherry hogshead, until it was bottled at eight years old, with 274 cask strength bottles released at a burly 59.1% ABV.
Toffee apple, blackberry crumble and custard alongside flamed citrus peels.
Berry jam and lots of cinnamon, with oaky vanilla and dried fruit.
Crystallised ginger lingers with prune sweetness.
