This was distilled at BenRiach in 1977 before a 34 year maturation in single cask number 2593. It was finished in a Sauternes dessert wine cask, and the result is gloriously honeyed and fruity.
Thick notes of apricot and peaches in syrup. A little medicinal character too, with dried herbs and vanilla.
Creamy sweet palate entry with notes of toasted oak and cooked fruit. Acacia honey and malt. Slightly salty too.
Long, fruity finish with notes of white grape and blossom.
