Independent bottlers, Adelphi, have bottled this rather fantastic Benriach.
Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt
Nose
A fruity nose of dried fruit (notably raisin) and baskets of tropical fruit (particularly melon) with a distinct leathery quality in the background marking this dram's age.
Palate
Fresh melon and vanilla ice cream then wood spice that develops warmer notes with the addition of water.
Finish
Spicy with a sweet stroke of vanilla. Finally soft calve's leather on the tail.
Overall
The vanilla, raisin and melon notes form a mouth-watering flavour profile but there is a leathery quality that highlights the age this malt is packing.
