Benriach 1979 Bottling Note

Independent bottlers, Adelphi, have bottled this rather fantastic Benriach.

Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt

Nose: A fruity nose of dried fruit (notably raisin) and baskets of tropical fruit (particularly melon) with a distinct leathery quality in the background marking this dram's age.

Palate: Fresh melon and vanilla ice cream then wood spice that develops warmer notes with the addition of water.

Finish: Spicy with a sweet stroke of vanilla. Finally soft calve's leather on the tail.

Overall: The vanilla, raisin and melon notes form a mouth-watering flavour profile but there is a leathery quality that highlights the age this malt is packing.
