Rum Finish
A 27 year old Benriach, distilled on 24 October 2991. The Speysider was left to mature in a single rum barrel for over a quarter of a century, taking in all those tropical fruit flavours. The single malt was finally bottled at 27 years of age, released as part of the distillery's 16th batch of single cask releases. Only 194 bottles were released at 50.3% ABV.
Ripe guava and papaya burst with golden syrup followed by layers of chocolate cake, almond and buttermilk.
Luscious sips of tropical fruit with guava, pineapple and mango as fruit builds with mandarin and peach mid-palate, leaving an intriguing coconut and grapefruit finish.
