Benriach 25 Year Old 1998 - Old & Rare Platinum (Hunter Laing)
A 25-year-old Benriach Speyside single malt Scotch whisky here. Distilled in 1998, it was aged in a single refill oloroso sherry butt and bottled at 57.4% ABV in September 2023 by Hunter Laing & Co. for the Old & Rare Platinum series. There's just 234 bottles of this one.
Tasting Note by The Producer
Nose
This deep gold coloured whisky has notes of toffee, chocolate sauce, raspberry, and fragrant tobacco on the nose.
Palate
Very fruity on the palate with mango, passion fruit, tangerine alongside honey-drizzled lemon meringue pie and a faint touch of menthol.
Finish
Lingers on the finish with mixed fruit juice and the sweetest of oak.
