BenRiach 17 Year Old 1998 (cask 6394) - Pedro Ximénez Sherry Cask Whisky

A very interesting release form the 12th batch of single cask bottlings from BenRiach. This is a 17 year old single malt Scotch whisky which was triple distilled! You don't see much triple distilled whisky from the Speyside region - you're much more likely to see triple distilled Lowlands whiskies. Nevertheless, this triple distilled whisky was placed into the cask in 1998 and bottled 17 years later, but not before a finishing period in a Pedro Ximénez Sherry puncheon. The outturn was 702 bottles.
