Presented as part of BenRiach's 13th batch of single cask bottling, this is a 16 year old single malt Scotch whisky which was finished in Oloroso Sherry puncheon #5043. It was distilled in July 1999 and bottled in June 2016 with an outturn of 696 bottles.

Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt

Nose: Marmalade on toasted brown bread, Sherry soaked raisins and a hint of exotic spices.

Palate: Orange and raisin still at the fore, though now the spices have become rather festive - cinnamon and clove by the handful!

Finish: Lingering peppery oak.

Liquid dessert

The finishing in Oloroso has make it's mark on this whisky with some lovely rich dried fruits and a quality honey taste throughout the development and finish. A wonderful mouth-feel coating every part of the tongue. Great at cask strength with water softening things down and adding more sweetness. No bitterness at all on the finish.
