BenRiach 14 Year Old 2005 (cask 7553) - Peated Rum Cask
A single cask, peated Benriach with a rather tropical cask maturation! Distilled in February 2005, this Speysider spent its 14 years of ageing in a single cask which previously held rum. It was bottled in 2019 with an outturn of 225 bottles, boasting a brilliant balance of smoke and tropical rum influence.

Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt
Nose
Barbecued pineapple and wood smoke, with notes of roasted coffee bean and nutmeg.
Palate
Lots of tropical fruit sweetness leads into wood smoke, dried fruit and a dusting of cocoa.
Finish
Cantaloupe and coffee ice cream linger.
