    Benriach 12 Year Old 2009 (cask 4835) - Peated

A single cask bottling of peated single malt from the Benriach Distillery, which was distilled back in January 2009. It was drawn from a Port pipe in 2021 after 12 years of ageing, and bottled up at cask strength, with 753 bottles produced. Rich smoke juxtaposed with vibrant Port sweetness? Yeah, sounds pretty ace to us, too.

Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt

    Nose

Dark chocolate dotted with cherry and coffee, plus a fair waft of spicy smoke.

    Palate

Still has hints of rich coffee to it, along with red fruit and a smidge of anise.

    Finish

    Lasting cacao and earthy peat.
