This Benriach 12 Year Old 2005 (cask 2679) is part of the single cask selection Batch 14. It was distilled in February 2005 using peated barley, before maturing in a first fill Port pipe for 12 years. This interesting Speyside single malt is non-chill filtered and boasts natural colour. Bottled in June 2017 at a strength of 53.1% abv, a total of 713 bottles have been released.

Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt

Nose: Fruity-fresh, with some sweetness from the barley and notes of vanilla.

Palate: A buttery palate that possesses hints of apple which marry nicely with a full, woody spice. A nice blend that reveals tasteful hints of ashy peat.

Finish: Distinct notes don't battle for attention, but rest nicely in company. Impressively complex.
