Peat and sweet meet here with this single cask bottling of Benriach single malt Scotch whisky! A peated expression distilled in 2009 and aged for 11 years, until it was drawn from a single Port pipe in 2020. Presented at cask strength, an intense 60.8% ABV, this expression is packed to the brim with notes of smoke, red fruit, and more. 863 bottles were produced.
Roasted nuts, caramelised dates, dark chocolate, and a hint of pine.
Richly smoky, though strawberry and more chocolatey notes keep it well-balanced. A good kick of ginger, too.
A long finish, packed with espresso.
