BenRiach 10 Year Old 2007 (cask 105)
The lovely BenRiach 10 Year Old 2007 is one of the many exciting new releases of the latest Cask Bottling – Batch 14, from the popular distillery. A fine example of the experimental approach of BenRiach, this Speyside single malt comes from a first fill Oloroso sherry butt and utilises peated malt for a complex blend. The Benriach 10 Year Old 2007 is non-chill filtered and of natural colour, and was matured for 10 years after being distilled on 19th January 2007. BenRiach have released only 451 bottles from cask 105, so don't miss out.
Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt
Nose
Nutty, rich and full, notes of oak linger.
Palate
Bold oak rounds a slightly oily entry. It moves more to a syrupy feel with an emerging sweetness that gains clarity.
Finish
The peat finally reveals itself and mercifully tempers the sweetness of the syrupy dried fruit.
