Benriach 10 Year Old 2006 (cask 5293)
A 10 year old bottling of single malt from Benriach, aged in a single Pedro Ximénez puncheon from November 2006 to September 2017. We've tasted oodles of well-sherried Benriach whiskies, and most have been absolutely phenomenal, so expect something similar from this one. It was specially selected by La Maison du Whisky, and 597 bottles were produced.
Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt
Nose
Dark chocolate and liquorice, balanced by brighter notes of fresh pomegranate and grapefruit zest.
Palate
Rounded malty notes develop on the palate. More chocolate follows on, with hints of spiced rum, rose lemonade and cantaloupe.
Finish
Waxy orange, intense cinnamon.
