A fabulous 25 year old BenRiach and peated too, which is unusual for a Speyside malt. This is the next step up after the lovely 21 year old Authenticus, offering up more complexity and power as well as oodles of smoke.
Tropical and fruit-filled with notes of tangy peat, pineapple, verbena, oily smoke and malt.
Very fruity and rich, with an explosion of peat smoke and dried herbs, a hint of fresh Provence Basil, a little pepper, cedar wood, honey and blossom.
Good length; fruity and rounded.

Excellent flavour, backbone and texture. I'm new to drinking whisky and was lucky enough to get the chance to sample it. Would recommend this for any special occasion as its pretty epic stuff!!
