Decadent Drinks took two refill barrels of 2016 vintage Ben Nevis and married them for just under a year in an old refill butt for this addition to the Decadent Drams collection. The distillery's bright, naturally sweet, gently waxy character shines here at a satisfying 47% ABV.
Tasting Note by The Producer
Nose
Elegantly leafy, mossy, waxy and mineral. Classical West Highland weight and charm. Some stones, cooking oils, tree bark, lemon peel and herbal teas.
Palate
Easy, waxy, oily, hints of hessian, lemon oil, camphor and putty. Textbook modern, refill-matured Ben Nevis.
Finish
Medium, hints of aniseed, bergamot, pepper and warm bread.
