That's exactly what's been achieved in this 7-year-old bottling, which was distilled in 2014 and aged in a second-fill sherry butt before it was snapped up at 48.5% ABV.
Seville marmalade, toffee apple, roasted nuts, and sherried spice.
Waxy and full-bodied, with dark chocolate, milky coffee, dried fruit, nutmeg, and a little cured meat.
Oily and spicy with stewed black fruit.
