Description

If you think that great age statement whisky is all about old spirits matured over decades then think again. This beauty from Ben Nevis is a great example of how dynamic and distinctive younger whisky can be, having been distilled in 2014 and matured for 7 years in second-fill sherry butts. That's exactly why Decadent Drinks snapped up this expression, which was bottled at 50% ABV.

Nose

Huge sherried notes combine with sweet tobacco, red apple, butterscotch, and dunnage warehouse earthiness.

Palate

Orange peel, honey, rich vanilla, and dried fruits are elevated by the palate's waxy texture.

Finish

Baking spice lingers among baked apple and spiced fruit loaf.
